The intron-exon structures of the 20 Rdr1 homologs from roses. The majority of the Rdr1 genes include four exons and three introns with few homologs having five exons that correspond to the TIR, NBS, NLL (NBS-LRR linker), LRR and post-LRR domains, respectively. Several illegitimate recombination (IR) signatures are distributed across the sequence, flanking indels or repeats. The LRR region is characterized by variable number of (CT)n repeats ranging from zero in muRdr1A and ruRdr1H to 65 in ruRdr1B[41].
