Order and orientation of the 20 chromosome 2 conserved segments during the divergence between D. buzzatii and D. mojavensis. The genomic distance between the two species calculated using GRIMM software was 10 inversions. When inversions 2m, 2n and 2z⁷ fixed in D. buzzatii [12, 59] were subtracted, GRIMM software yielded a single scenario with seven inversions (2c, 2f, 2g, 2h, 2q, 2r and 2s) fixed from Primitive I to D. mojavensis.
