Listed pathways between AP stages (white boxes) indicate the appropriate ontogenetic development, which does not take place in the LP offspring (black boxes) at the corresponding developmental period. Pathways between the LP stages indicate processes and metabolic regulation, which occur in the LP offspring but not in the AP offspring in the corresponding developmental period.
