  1. aPromoters assayed in lacZ-reporter plasmids pDS11 and pDS12: intergenic promoters are predicted promoters for the glnALG, glnKamtB and rtcBA operons; intragenic promoters were identified in the ChIP-chip assay (see Results). Controls are the σ70-dependent, circle-junction promoter from IS492 and the empty vector, pDS12.
