De novo motif searches in Cochliobolus lunatus secretome reveal conserved hydrophobic amino acid residues reported in MEME 4.9 [28] algorithm. (A) A motif block diagram showing motifs distribution secreted effector indicated by bars. (B) Sequence logos of 3 motifs of a maximum of 14 amino acids length with highest non-positional constraint likelihoods scattered over the secreted effector sites. The height of the motif “block” is proportional to -log (P-value), truncated at the height for a motif with a P-value of 1e-10. Blue indicates the most hydrophobic residue; green indicates the most polar, non-charged, non-aliphatic residue; magenta indicates the most acidic; and red indicates the most positively charged residue.
