ER; endoplasmic reticulum, TPS; terpene synthase, SPS; solanesyl diphosphate synthase. The grey oval circles between organelles and at the cell membrane represent putative transporter systems. Peroxisomal localization of precursor enzymes of the MVA pathway has been previously reported in Arabidopsis thaliana and Catharanthus roseus[42–44].
