Hypersensitive response (HR) elicited by E. amylovora Ea1189, Ea1189Δ arcZ , Ea1189Δ hfq , Ea1189ΔT3SS, Ea1189Δ ams , as well as Ea1189Δ arcZ and Ea1189Δ hfq carrying complementation plasmids pMLarcZ and pMLhfq. Bacterial strains (1 × 107 CFU ml-1) were infiltrated into Nicotiana benthamiana leaves and the HR was observed at 20 hr post-infiltration.
