A summary of the brain microarray data, for 499 differentially regulated transcripts across the five groups (DF = dominant foundress, SF = subordinate foundress, DW = dominant worker, SW = subordinate worker, Q = queen). A) Consensus clustering analysis (from both principal components analysis and hierarchical clustering) shows that many transcripts showed a pattern that corresponds to the social environment (founding phase or worker phase) and/or season.
