From: Identification and functional characterization of copy number variations in diverse chicken breeds
Quantitative PCR analysis confirmed the duplication of the EDN3 loci in three different genotypes. Fifteen samples for the three genotypes (FmFm, fmfm, and Fmfm) were analyzed using qPCR for the EDN3 locus. Each DNA sample was diluted to 10 ng/μL, and the concentrations were verified using a spectrophotometer. The results of the qPCR analyses were processed using the same standard curve method as performed in the validation test.
