The cDNA libraries from replicate were collapsed; the length and abundance of small RNA reads in An. gambiae cDNA libraries are as indicated. (C) Read frequency for siRNAs (peaking at 21 nt) and piRNAs (peaking at ~24-30 nt) mapped to repetitive elements, consisting largely of TEs, coding genes and other sequences (remainder) in An. gambiae cDNA libraries.
