We summarize total number of genes corresponding to a given GO term in the microarray gene expression (gene set size, labelled as Set Size), count of genes extracted with our analysis (observed hits, labelled as Hits) and adjusted p-values (values have been rounded-up to two decimal points; adjusted p-value < 0.1). Intestine sections: Prox = proximal; Mid = middle; Dist = distal. Response types: lm = linear; log logarithm; exp = exponential. GOBP terms showing quadratic and cubic response types have been excluded as they can be found in the middle section only (i.e., there are no spatial trends along the small intestine axis; see Table 1)
