Distribution of genetic correlation estimates between gene expression and DNA methylation. The estimates split by relative chromosome location and shared QTL status. Probe pairs from the final correlation list (3321 probe pairs) were selected. The distribution of the correlations is similar for probe pairs located on different chromosomes and same chromosome probe pairs without shared QTL. Probe pairs that share QTL(s) have larger genetic correlations than the rest of probe pairs
