Hypertonic stress induces differential gene expression of ion transporting enzyme in gill filament culture. Differential gene expression of ATPase Na+/K+-transporting subunit alpha 1 (at1a1), ATPase Na+/K+-transporting Subunit Alpha 3 (at1a3), calcium-transporting ATPase 2 (at2b2), aquaporin 3 (aqp3), V-type proton ATPase 1 (vpp1) and Na+/K+/2Cl−-cotransporter (nkcc) was determined in control (Ctrl: 300 mOsmol l− 1) or hypertonic-treated gill filaments ((Hyper: 600 mOsmol l− 1, 4, 8, 24 h) by qRT-PCR.
