Validation of RNA-seq expression profiles by RT-qPCR targeting PUL 49 genes in citrus or apple pectin conditions relative to glucose. Differences in gene expression between the three conditions i.e. citrus pectin/mid-log phase, citrus pectin/late-log phase and apple pectin/late-log phase were significant for all targeted genes (P < 0.01) except for regulation genes (BXY_31950 and BXY_31960), and one PL1_2 gene (BXY_32000)
