Secondary structure of the four DENV serotypes represented as propensity profiles. Nucleotides with a score > 0 are double-stranded, while < 0 indicates single-stranded nucleotides. The profile is normalised using the same formula reported in the original paper of CROSS methodology. For each profile, the highest (+) and lowest (−) structural peak is highlighted. The structures of 200 nt regions, including the most high-propensity double- (red) and single-stranded (gray) regions for each serotype, were computed using RNAfold
